Specific activity schedule to follow.

Friday September 18th, 2026

Guests can arrive at the venue from 4:00pm onwards. A bus from the Calgary International Airport will be available. BBQ dinner, campy activities, and time to explore! Make sure to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing.

Saturday September 19th, 2026

Breakfast in the morning, followed by activities (more details soon!). The ceremony will take place in the afternoon, followed by dinner, dancing, and shenanigans.

Sunday September 20th, 2026

Goodbye breakfast, then head home or off for your own adventure! There will be a bus available back to the airport.

The Venue

Camp Chief Hector, Kananaskis, Alberta

What is this place?

Camp Chief Hector is a 1,000 acre property located within the Rocky Mountains in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada. It's 1 hour outside of Calgary and 30 minutes from the town of Banff.

How do I get there?

The nearest airport is the YYC Calgary International Airport. From there, the venue is a 1 hour drive. We will also provide a bus service to and from the airport at select times, which you can sign up for in the RSVP. Alternatively, the Banff Airporter shuttle service goes to the nearby town of Canmore, from which a cab can be taken.

Where do we stay?

You can stay on the property in either yurts or cabins. These rustic accommodations are effectively camping - BYOSB (bring your own sleeping bag!). They are equipped with bunk beds and can be shared between up to 10 people. There are shared washroom/shower facilities. Alternatively, we have a limited room block set up at the Stoney Nakota Resort & Casino (10 minute drive) - give them a call for a referred rate. There are also many options in the nearby town of Canmore (20 minutes drive).

On-site Accommodations

Yurts

Yurts include a wood-fired heater and can be shared with up to 10 people on bunk beds. Bring your own sleeping bags! Shared powered/plumbed bathroom and shower facilities are nearby, as are outhouses.

Cabins

Cabins have rooms of various sizes and are equipped with bunk beds, and can be shared with up to 10 people per room. There are numerous rooms in each cabin.

When should I arrive?

We will have a welcome BBQ and activities on Friday night, a breakfast and activities Saturday morning, lunch and the wedding ceremony Saturday afternoon, dinner and reception Saturday evening, and a Sunday breakfast. Please indicate which events you can attend on the RSVP!

What is the dress code?

Hiking formal! Interpret that however you would like. We strongly encourage you have a warm layer just in case. Steph says - heels would be a bad idea - this is a campground!! Very uneven ground!

Can I bring a +1 or children?

Yes! See your RSVP for details. We will have kid-friendly activities run by on-site staff available.

Is there cell service?

There is cellular service on most carriers on the entire site, as well as wifi at the central lodge.

Can I take photos?

Yes! Please put away cameras and phones during the ceremony. We will have a repository for everybody to upload their photos after the event - Please let us know if you do not want your image in the resulting gallery.

Is there a wedding registry?

No registry. Travelling to our wedding is already a great gift - thank you for celebrating with us!!!
